Position Summary or Faculty Qualifications

Saint Joseph’s University’s Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Marketing Department has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct one (1) or two (2) courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Undergraduate (UG) and graduate (Grad) courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day, evening (in-class and online fro Grad) and weekends (Grad).

Adjunct/affiliate faculty are expected to teach a specified online course(s); prepare course materials; and provide support and guidance to students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching of a specified course
Preparation of materials
Providing support and guidance to students
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, e.g., PowerPoint
Familiarity with online teaching
Report grades

Secondary Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Marketing, Pharmacy Administration, Healthcare Marketing or closely related major.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD, J.D., M.D. with concnetration in Marketing, Pharmacy Administration, Healthcare Marketing or closely related field. Industry experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or related fields are preferred. Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

May require standing for long periods of time, talking for long periods of time and carrying course materials.
