Position Summary or Faculty Qualifications

Saint Josephs University’s Department of Marketing has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. In-depth knowledge of the marketing discipline is essential. Professionals with experience in sports marketing, entertainment marketing, advertising & promotions, and international marketing will be given preference. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are

- Event or entertainment marketing
- Advertising or promotion management
- Public relations
- Marketing research
- International marketing

Adjunct/affiliate faculty are expected to teach a specified online course(s); prepare course materials; and provide support and guidance to students.

Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or closely related majors. Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Business, Marketing or closely related major; previous teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

Teaching of a specified course
Preparation of materials
Providing support and guidance to students
Advising students
Report grades

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related major.

Preferred Qualifications:

ABD or PhD in Business, Marketing or closely related major; previous teaching experience.

Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

May require standing for long periods of time, talking for long periods of time and carrying course materials.
